We all know that college can be expensive. From paying tuition, to meals, to housing, to dorm decorations, to subscription services… the list goes on. It can be difficult to budget and save with all of the necessary expenses. But have no fear, as your Emory ID can get you access to plenty of free services!
- HBO Max (with Ads)
If you’ve ever wanted to catch up on Gossip Girl or start that popular Game of Thrones show but have put it off because you don’t want an additional subscription, then you’re in luck! Log in to Xfinity On Campus with your NetID and password to access another catalog of shows for free! It’s great for midnight binges or to host a movie night. You get access through this link.
2. News Outlets
If you want to track stocks and be educated in finance or stay up to date with n l and global news through a reliable outlet, then Emory has the services for you. As students, we have free access to both the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. By going to the Emory Library’s website or by clicking this link for the Wall Street Journal and this link for the New York Times, you can log in to your Emory account to have full access to these news subscriptions at no additional cost.
- Atlanta Attractions
Although technically not free, Emory students have discounts at many popular attractions around Atlanta. Whether it’s $5 off a ticket at the famous Georgia Aquarium or access to discounted Atlanta Hawks tickets, there are many opportunities to have a fun (and affordable) weekend through your ID. You can find all these discounts by searching Emory Explore and Save on your search browser or by clicking here.
- Miscellaneous
You can get:
- Apple Music + Apple TV
- Spotify Premium
- Hulu
And plenty of other services at a discount by entering your student ID upon signing up.
In addition, we have access to:
- A wide range of library databases

At no additional cost.
It’s essential for us to stay informed about potential discounts our IDs may offer so we don’t pay more than necessary. It’s important to utilize these free of charge/discounted services as they can save money, create plans, and provide information that was formerly blocked by a paywall.
Also, follow our friends at Emory Card for additional info on savings!
