Budget Friendly Things to Do in Atlanta for Valentine’s Day

Whether you’re looking for something to do with your partner or just looking for a fun Galentine’s day adventure, here are some budget-friendly ideas for Valentine’s Day 2024 in Atlanta!

  1. Picnic in Piedmont Park – Pack a delicious spread, grab a blanket, and enjoy Piedmont Park’s beautiful scenery and people-watching.
  2. High Museum of Art Free Admission -Take advantage of the High Museum of Art’s free admission on specific days (currently the first Sunday of each month) for a dose of culture and inspiration.
  3. Walk on ATL Beltline – Explore the vibrant Atlanta BeltLine on foot, taking in the art installations and enjoying the lively atmosphere.
  4. Cooking at Home – Learn a new skill together and enjoy eating the result! 
  5. Board Game Cafe Date – Challenge each other to a fun board game night at a local cafe like The Rook & Pawn or in the comfort of your home. 
  6. Thrift & Art Stroll at Little Five Points – Get lost in the quirky and artistic Little Five Points district, browsing unique shops and admiring street art.
  7. Go Stargazing – Find a dark spot with little light pollution and lay down on a blanket to look up at the stars. You can even use a stargazing app to help you identify constellations.
  8. Movie Night In – Gather all your favorite snacks, beverages, (and maybe some chocolate covered strawberries), and enjoy a cozy movie-night in.
  9. Fernbank Science CenterWalk the trails and check out the exhibits for free at the Fernbank Science Center (different location than the museum).
  10. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Park – Tie your Valentine’s Day into Black History Month and check out the place Dr. King was born, lived, and is buried.
